Melbourne Dockland Sailing School and Corporate Team Building
offers you a unique adventure sailing experience while gaining
a new perspective of Melbourne and its environs.

may choose to enjoy a sumptuous meal at any of the outstanding
Docklands cafes and restaurants.
The Docklands will irrevocably change
the look and feel of Melbourne. It will become a waterfront
destination for an estimated 20 million visitors each year,
home for 15,000 people and a workplace for 20,000.
Blue Park - Our Sailing ‘Playground’
With 7 kilometres of glorious waterfront and 40 hectares
of water there's plenty to see and do in the Docklands’
Blue Park – once you finish your sail, catch a ferry
to the city or go fishing – 19 species of edible fish
thrive in the Harbor, the water quality is that good!
The Melbourne Docklands is, after all, similar in area
to the entire Melbourne CBD, and six times the size of Sydney's
Circular Quay.www.docklands.com

vision of Melbourne Docklands for 2015'
Yachting Events
The Premier, Steve Bracks, announced Victoria had won the
right to host a stopover of the 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean Race
at the Docklands.
The Ocean Race fleet stopped in Melbourne for over three
weeks in 2006 - from January 20 to February 11 - after completing
the longest leg of the six-month race through the southern
oceans.
The stopover in Melbourne featured an in-port race that provided
a great spectacle and gave Victorians a chance to see these
awesome yachts in action.
The 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean Race focused the international
spotlight on Melbourne, and for the first time showcased the
Docklands waterfront to the world.
The event attracted 5,000 interstate and 1,000 international
visitors, as well as the 500 race crew, media and 1,000 sponsor
representatives.
