'Day Sailor' Keel Boat
The Soling 'Day Sailor' keelboat is a perfect transition as a small / intermediate size keelboat to
larger keel boat. The 'Day Sailor' keel boat is all about
the sailing experience and the associated skills of sailing, with the
extra stability of a keel boat, this means the daysailor keelboat boat will not capsize. It's like a big dinghy, with extra stability for learning.
The 'Day Sailor' is a less expensive
yacht because it doesn't feature all the extras that go with
an overnight cruising yacht. Therefore we don't need as many
participants to cover the costs. These lessons run all year
on Saturdays and Sundays, subject to weather and wind conditions.
  
The lessons are conducted from
the Hobson's Bay Yacht Club Williamstown, located at the junction
of The
Strand, Nelson
Place
and Ferguson Street Pier
Participants start
with an Introduction to Sailing, if they like the experience
and want to go to the next step the we offer Basic Level 1
and followed by Basic Level 2. This is the basis for
recreational sailing where participants maybe able to
help with rigging, manoeuvring and sailing a yacht.
The next level involves
training for social Yacht Club racing.

Please note we only conduct the Full Day Pacer Dinghy courses 2 to 3 times a season when we have sufficient / minimum numbers of 12 participants, otherwise our 'Day Sailor' Keelboat will provide a similar experience with more stability to learn and retain the lesson information.
