Sailing Lesson Overview
Our
introductory course, followed up by Basic Skills 1, is designed to show you all the basics
of sailing and is an inexpensive way to check out the sport.
It's a great day out and an affordable way not only to go
for a sail but to learn how to sail and experience the freedom
associated with sailing.
Pacer Dinghies
To optimise your sailing experience each student will have time to learn the skills and duties associated with the helmsman’s position (the person who steers) and the forehand duties (the crew member who controls the jib sail)
- Introduction to sailing and Basic Skills One - 95.00* per person
- Min 12 - Max 18 students ( this course can only run with sufficient minimum numbers)
- Lesson duration - Full day (with lunch break - BYO food)

Please note we only conduct the Full Day Pacer Dinghy courses 2 to 3 times a season when we have sufficient / minimum numbers of 12 participants, otherwise our 'Day Sailor' Keelboat will provide a similar learning experience with more stability.

INDIVIDUALS / SMALL GROUPS - 'Day Sailor' Keel Boat
The Soling 'Day Sailor' keelboat is a perfect transition or option from a small boat to larger keel boat. The 'Day Sailor' keel boat is all about the sailing experience and the associated skills of sailing, with the extra stability of a keel boat, this means the daysailor keelboat boat will not capzise.
The 'Day Sailor' is a less expensive yacht because it doesn't feature all the extras that go with an overnight cruising yacht. Therefore we don't need as many participants to cover the costs. These lessons run all year on Saturdays and Sundays, subject to weather and wind conditions.
  
The lessons are conducted from the Hobson's Bay and Docklands.
Participants start with an Introduction to Sailing, if they like the experience and want to go to the next step the we offer Basic Level 1 and followed by Basic Level 2. This is the basis for recreational sailing where participants maybe able to help with sailing a yacht. The next level involves training for social Yacht Club racing.

Luxury Keel Boat
Welcome aboard for a fantastic sailing adventure and hours of 
sailing lessons while enjoying Melbourne's City vistas from
your own luxury sailing yacht .
